Bulgaria Gems Co is established and owned by Ivan Pojarevski in 1990 as the first Bulgarian company in the field of Gem stones, jewelry, minerals and souvenirs. The main subject in the beginning was gemstones and scientific research and expert help in gemstone investment. Bulgaria Gems did a first marketing research of the biggest in the world deposit of demantoid garnets in Russia, took part in developing of deposit Madjarovo in Bulgaria as an amethyst deposit. Bulgaria Gems researched and found more than 30 deposits of silica gem varieties – agates, amethyst, jasper, petrified wood in Bulgaria .

We have developed fine silver handmade jewellery design in traditional Bulgarian felegree style. We own more than 2000 original models and we have 2 models approved from Christie’s for taking part in the auctions of traditional jewellery art. In our jewelry unit we have 2 artists ( developing models) and 3 workers.

Bulgaria Gems have shops and boots in the shops in Sofia and all biggest Bulgarian cities and resorts : Pernik, Blagoevgrad, Sandanski, Bansko, Borovetz, Plovdiv, Pamporovo, Etro-pole, Pleven, Russe, Razgrad, Shumen, Varna, Zlatni Piasaci, Nesebar, Albena, Primorsko etc.

We also have boots in shops in Prague, Bratislava and at the moment we are trying to establish shop in Budapest. We have trade representative in Switzerland (Soloturn) and Holland(Soest).

One of the main our activities at the moment is producing of mineral fountains with rolling balls. We have exported more than 2000 sets during last 6 months. At the moment we have 20 models of fountains and we have filled our capability with orders till February. In producing unit we have one high skilledworkers engineer – Mr. Stefan Stefanov and 7 workers

Other product of our company is Mineral trimmer (mineral breaker)

We produce 4 mechanical models and one hydraulic model. For this product we have distributor in US with exclusive rights for West Coast. We also are producing sandblasters for cleaning minerals.

One of the other main activities at the moment is dealing with mineral specimens. This year the sales of minerals are covering 40 % of the total turnover of our company . We attend all major Mineral shows in the world : in Tucson (Az), in Saint Marie-aux-Mines(France), in Denver(Co),in Munchen(Germany), in Hamburg(Germany) and in Torino (Italy). There we exhibit Bulgarian Minerals, which are unique as mineral association in the world. In April 2000 Ivan Pojarevski was invited lecturer during the Rochester Mineralogical Symposium, which is one of the most presentable events in the American mineralogy.
