Quartz, sphalerite – marmatite, chalcopyrite, pyrite and chlorite

One fantastic, large cabinet size specimen, with double faces, presenting pyrite, overgrowth by quartz-rock crystal with very high brilliancy, and followed by very lustrous sphalerite – marmatite, chlorite, and chalcopyrite. Marmatite and chalcopyrite have tetrahedral habits. Borieva mine, Madan, Bulgaria

Green quartz – prase, galena, sphalerite, marmatite,

A very aesthetic cabinet size specimen of cubic galena overgrowth by green quartz – prase ( colored by chlorite) and followed by a very lustrous group of black sphalerite – marmatite crystals with several clear twins. In the later stages of crystallization, galena was strongly dissolved,  and  quartz are standing in a  very attractive space net of crystals.
